Graduating with Scholastic Honors

Depending on your combined BYU and total GPA, you may be eligible to be specially recognized.

Scholastic honors are determined each graduation for undergraduate students only and are calculated based on the BYU GPA and total GPA of students who have been submitted to graduate. All candidates for Latin Honors will be awarded these designations subject to calculation of final semester grades. Both the BYU GPA and total GPA must be at or above the cut off for a student to be awarded Latin honors.

Please note that graduating students receiving scholastic honors do not wear special regalia. However, other honors organizations, such as Phi Kappa Phi, may provide a medallion or special cord for a graduate to wear.
