Christine Tanner earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Brigham Young University in 1989. She began her professional work experience in the health care industry as a nurse for eleven years.
Her first year into her nursing career she was promoted to an Administrator/Director position and continued her medical work experience in similar capacities for ten more years. Ten years into her medical career, in 1999, she decided to academically develop the business side of her profession and earned her master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. She left full time work in the medical field in 2000 to expand her business skills accepting a director position for a global chemical company where she focused on global operations and international business. After 12 years in that capacity, in 2012, she accepted a position in academia at Brigham Young University, her alma mater, as the Director of BYU Enrollment Services.
