I served a mission in Iceland. I earned my bachelors degree in Psychology from BYU and a masters degree from Utah State University. I came to BYU in 1998 and after a few years of being hired, I started teaching Icelandic on campus and did so for a number of years in addition to my regular job.
My wife and I joined our two families in 2011. All but one of our 11 children are girls. I run a business on the side where I built a large tropical fish hatchery in my home to breed and ship rare fishes to businesses all over the country.
