Enrollment Services Counselor

I've lived in many different parts of the United States, but I consider myself an adopted Texan. I earned my BS in Family Science from BYU and M.Ed. in School Counseling from Lamar University. In Texas, I worked in public education for 15 years with the most recent being a high school counselor in Austin before coming to BYU.

I love taking hikes in a variety of locations, which makes Utah a great place to live. My children either already attend BYU or plan to someday. I love spending time with my family playing games or watching shows. I'm an avid psycho and love to watch Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit movies. I love Texas BBQ and Tex-Mex food. If you want to have a long conversation about what to do in Central Texas, I'm the one to talk to!

My goal is to support and promote student success. I believe that every student comes to college with a unique set of skills, talents, and desires. I hope to help you identify and use your strengths to achieve your short- and long- term goals, both academic and otherwise. I recognize that students come to college with diverse identities and beliefs that may impact their experience as a student and as a member of our BYU community. In my interactions, I will acknowledge and respect your identity and beliefs and will endeavor to tailor my advising to meet your needs.
