Coco Morales was born and raised in Arequipa, Peru. After returning home from a mission in the Peruvian highlands, he decided to continue his education at BYU. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration here at the Y. He learned Portuguese as part of his minor in Latin American Studies and had the chance to study abroad in Portugal. One perk of speaking Portuguese was meeting his wife from Brazil. He discovered his love for higher education while doing an internship in Washington, D.C. during his undergrad and hopes to continue serving students for the rest of his life.
For Coco, there is nothing like a good book. He loves reading history and fiction during his commute to work or during lunch. In the same way, he truly enjoys playing video games to de-stress whenever he has a spare hour. He has rooted for the same soccer team, Juventus, for the past 20 years and loves to play and watch basketball. He looks forward to the day when he will introduce his little son to The Lord of the Rings, the Batman trilogies, and the Star Wars universe.
