McKell was raised in Heber City, UT and was a WHS alum. She went to Snow College and earned her Associates degree and then transferred to BYU and received a BS in Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology. She started working as a student employee at BYU and then never left! She enjoys dancing, McDonald's, retail therapy, and having fun with family and friends.
