BYU seeks to develop students of faith, intellect, and character who have the skills and desire to continue learning and to serve others throughout their lives.
The Request to Return is for students who were previously admitted to and completed courses at BYU, then for various reasons, such as military assignment, family responsibilities, or other opportunities, left without completing their degree. If you're ready to return, we want you back!
Here are some of the things you'll need to complete as part of your request:
- The semester/term you plan to return
- Ecclesiastical Endorsement
- Honor Code Agreement
- Any transcripts from institutions attended while away from BYU
- Brief Essay: explain why you now desire to return to BYU. How have you prepared yourself while you were away from the university to be prepared to continue your studies at BYU? (limit 1500 characters)
- A graduation plan may be required for some applicants
