Shawn Hancock

Shawn Hancock has worked in the student affairs profession since 2003, after completing his bachelor’s in Psychology at BYU. He worked over 10 years in Financial Aid and Scholarships at the University of Utah, where he received a Master’s degree in Education Psychology. He worked in various positions, including Financial Aid Specialist, Counselor, Operations Manager, Athletic Financial Aid Manager, and Associate Director over Scholarships. Shawn was ecstatic to return to BYU in 2014 as a OneStop Counselor, especially since he would not need to conceal being a BYU fan in the workplace anymore. Shawn is a lifelong BYU fan and played baseball for BYU as a pitcher during his undergraduate career. He served a mission in Brazil. Besides following BYU athletics, Shawn loves spending time with his wife and 5 children, watching movies, and singing in choir.
