Shawn has worked in the student affairs profession since 2003, after completing his Bachelor’s in Psychology at BYU. He worked for over 10 years in Financial Aid and Scholarships at the University of Utah, where he received a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology. He worked in various positions, including Financial Aid Specialist, Counselor, Operations Manager, Athletic Financial Aid Manager, and Associate Director of Scholarships. Shawn was ecstatic to return to BYU in 2014 as an Enrollment Services Counselor, especially since he no longer had to conceal his BYU fandom at work.
Shawn is a lifelong BYU fan and played baseball for BYU as a pitcher while an undergraduate student. He served a mission in Brazil. Besides following BYU athletics, Shawn loves spending time with his wife and children, watching movies, and singing in choir.
