FAFSA Information for 2024-2025 Scholarship Applicants

We have important information for you if you submitted your scholarship application on time but haven't been able to submit your 2024-2025 FAFSA. We set the March 22nd FAFSA deadline for scholarship consideration to give you enough time before we begin awarding scholarships to submit an initial FAFSA. The deadline also gives you enough time before we award scholarships to make corrections to your FAFSA, if needed. However, we know some students have had major issues and still haven't been able to submit an initial FAFSA. Others may have questions about whether corrections may be required.

If you need to correct your FAFSA

The government is allowing all students to correct errors on their FAFSA. If you need to make corrections, you can log in to your FAFSA and submit them now. You will need to correct your FAFSA by April 29, 2024 for scholarship consideration. You should also receive an email from the government letting you know they processed your FAFSA, and you can correct it. For example, we know several students have inadvertently marked that they should be considered provisionally independent, or incorrectly marked that they are applying for Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans only.

For help on correcting your FAFSA, you can go to studentaid.gov for instructions.

If you were unable to submit your FAFSA by the March 22nd deadline

If you haven't been able to complete the FAFSA yet because of ongoing issues with the application, we strongly encourage you to contact Enrollment Services right away to meet with a counselor to notify them of your inability to submit it. For example, we know some students have been unable to submit the FAFSA because their spouse or a parent does not have a Social Security Number (SSN).

If you have any questions or concerns about your FAFSA, please contact Enrollment Services. Counselors are happy to help you!
