SAT to ACT Conversion Chart
BYU will accept either the ACT or SAT. We will consider your highest composite score. Use this chart to calculate score conversions.
Currently, BYU does not require the writing section of the SAT. We will, however, pay particular attention to applicants’ writing ability as demonstrated by the essay portion of the admission application. You can calculate your equivalent ACT score using the table below if you took the SAT on or after March 1, 2016. Please see CollegeBoard’s website for information on SAT scores taken before this date.
