Summer Bridge Program
Students who participated in the one-time Summer Bridge Program in 2023 receive the following benefits:
Full Tuition Scholarship
A full-tuition scholarship for summer term and a $500 scholarship for up to eight semesters as long as you continue to participate in the program (more information on this later).
Cohort-Based Learning
An opportunity to take several classes with the same group of students so you can build relationships that can last throughout your university experience.
Overnight Retreat
Activities with your Summer Bridge classmates, including an overnight cabin experience. These activities are organized by the university and will be free to you.
On-Campus Housing
On-campus housing that can continue through the fall and winter semesters.
Holistic Advisement
The opportunity to work closely with faculty and administrators to transition smoothly to the university.
Summer Bridge Program Requirements
Below are the requirements for participating in the program.
- Be able to attend summer 2023 (June 26 – August 14, 2023) or defer for a mission
- Enroll in the 6-credit envelope of classes
- WRTG 150: Writing & Rhetoric (3.0 credits)
- First Year Foundations (3.0 credits)
- Recommended: Complete and submit the FAFSA*
- Fill out the one-minute application (linked above) by April 15, 2023
- Attend the free, overnight retreat
*This recommendation does not apply for international students.
