Former Students

A former student is anyone who has previously been admitted to BYU, completed credit as a regular day-time student, and is returning to BYU with or without additional credit.

NOTE: If you have graduated with a bachelor’s degree, then you are not eligible for undergraduate admission to BYU. Contact Graduate Studies for information about continuing your education.

Returning Student Tips

  • Submit the Return Form by the appropriate deadline.
  • Fill out the form at apply.byu.edu using the same login information that you used when previously attending BYU. You will need to update the form with any new information (such as additional college work received), and you will be required to submit a new Ecclesiastical Endorsement.
  • If you completed additional credit since attending BYU, you will need to submit transcripts to show all work you completed since attending BYU.
  • Students who have not had day-continuing eligibility, but did participate in Study Abroad or Continuing Education, are considered transfer students.
