AP & IB Exam Guides
The AP, IB, and Cambridge exams you complete may be eligible for BYU credit.
Advanced Placement (AP)
If you scored a 3-5 on an AP exam, you may be eligible for BYU credit, depending on when you took the exam.
If you would like to send your AP scores to BYU, you can:
- At the time of testing, indicate that your scores should be sent to BYU.
- Login to your College Board AP exam account and download the .pdf Score Report. Send that .pdf file to transfer@byu.edu from your BYU student email.
- Contact College Board and pay for your score report to be sent to BYU.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Scores
If you scored a 5-7 on an IB exam, you may be eligible to receive BYU credit depending on when you took the exam.
To transfer your IB scores to BYU, create a case and include the date you took the exam and your personal or school code, if possible. We will search the IB database for your records and add them to your account.
